Have you ever thought about the exact concept of gender equality? Gender equality means having equal rights and opportunities for women and men in society. Today, people experience various kinds of disasters and calamities, such as: migration, war, poverty, hunger, poor academic quality, air and water pollution, and climate change. But who do you think suffers the most in this situation? The answer is women, it is women and girls who constitute the majority of victims of war, more than half of immigrants and the largest number of victims of kidnapping.

While we proudly talk about the great progress in the field of gender, women and girls are still lagging behind in various sectors. There are many reasons and solutions for this problem, as an example in this article about women and girls in Afghanistan We discuss women's rights and solutions for this big problem.

As an Afghan girl living in the current situation in Afghanistan, I know very well how difficult the situation is for women in Afghanistan. Living in Afghanistan for women means being subjected to violence, remaining illiterate and breathing with fear. In addition to the fact that we are not allowed to go to school, we are not allowed to leave the house, we are not allowed to work, we are not allowed to drive and we are not even allowed to decide for our own future. In just one day, the right to study, go to school, and have a goal will be taken away from you by force of a gun, for just one reason; Because you are a girl!

It is very difficult for all of us to accept all this because we know that it is not worthy of us to remain illiterate, so we should not give up, but we should stand up and defend our rights. Bread, work, and freedom are not the only slogans of the women who participate in the demonstrations, it is the slogan of all of us. As we know, besides going to school, there are many other ways to get an education, participating in online classes can be a good alternative, so trying and not giving up should be our daily lesson.

In short, the rights of women and girls have been violated not only in Afghanistan but all over the world in different fields; The right to education, the right to work, the right to make decisions, the right to equal income and the right to be respected. But surrendering is not the solution to these problems, has not been and will not be. Therefore, one should try and continue studying in other ways, because these are all absolute inequalities and studying is the only solution. If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that violence against women must end.

(Thanks to EBA for creating a very good opportunity for girls who don't have the opportunity to go to school)
