Education Bridge for Afghanistan (EBA) is preparing to launch its International Level 3 program, also known as the pre-university level. According to Afghanistan’s educational standards, this level is equivalent to Grade 14.
Level 3 is an advanced, university-preparatory stage designed to prepare students for admission to international universities. In the British education system, A Level is one of the qualifications classified at Level 3. Therefore, students should choose their subjects based on their intended university major and the admission requirements of their target universities.

For example, students interested in medicine, dentistry, or pharmacy generally need Biology and Chemistry, along with Mathematics or Physics. For many engineering programs, Mathematics and Physics are essential. For Computer Science, Mathematics and Computer Science are among the important subjects.
University admission requirements are not the same everywhere. Therefore, students should not rely solely on recommendations from friends or general information. They should carefully check the specific requirements for their intended program directly on the official website of the university they wish to attend.
Subjects Available In the first phase, EBA is prepared to offer 13 subjects:

3. Chemistry
4. Biology
5. Computer Science

11. Professional Communication Skills and English Language

14. Physical Education
Art, Music, and Physical Education will be offered through the Technical and Vocational Learning (TLM) pathways. Assessment of these subjects may include a portfolio or collection of work, practical projects, performances, videos, activity reports, and confirmation from a teacher or coach.
Each student may choose three subjects from the 13 subjects offered. Art, Music, and Physical Education may also be selected as part of the three chosen subjects.
Students should make their subject choices carefully based on:
Their intended university major;
The admission requirements of their target universities;
Their academic or practical interests and abilities;
Their future educational and career plans.
Choosing subjects simply because they seem easier, because friends have selected them, or because they may lead to higher grades could create difficulties later when applying for the desired university program.
Upon successfully completing the educational and assessment requirements for each subject, the student will receive an individual Level 3 qualification from TLM for that subject. Therefore, a student who successfully completes all three selected subjects will receive a separate Level 3 qualification for each subject.
Level 3 qualifications within the British educational framework represent the pre-university stage and are at a comparable level to qualifications such as A Levels. They may be submitted as part of university applications.
However, the acceptance of these qualifications and the determination of their equivalency in each country or university are subject to the regulations of the relevant institution or authority.
Entry Requirements for Level 3
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
A completed EBA Level 2 qualification; or
A valid GCSE or IGCSE qualification; or
Another valid qualification considered equivalent to Level 2.
Students holding qualifications from institutions outside EBA must submit their certificate and complete academic transcript for review and verification.
EBA Level 2 students who have only some remaining written examinations or laboratory activities may, after an academic record review, be allowed to enter Level 3 conditionally. Such students must complete all remaining Level 2 examinations, practical reports, laboratory requirements, and other outstanding requirements alongside their Level 3 studies.
Conditional admission to Level 3 does not exempt students from any Level 2 requirements. The final Level 2 qualification will only be issued after all required components have been successfully completed.
Applicants who have not yet completed Level 2 or obtained a valid equivalent qualification cannot enter Level 3 directly. They must first enroll in the Level 2 program and, after successfully completing it, apply for admission to Level 3.
Entrance Assessment A diagnostic entrance assessment will be conducted to evaluate applicants' academic readiness.
The purpose of this assessment is not to prevent students from continuing their education. Rather, it is intended to ensure that students are adequately prepared, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and determine their educational support needs.
The entrance assessment does not replace a Level 2 qualification. Only applicants who have completed Level 2 or hold a valid equivalent qualification may be evaluated through this assessment for entry into Level 3.
Ways to Complete Level 3: Students may complete the Level 3 program through one of two pathways:
1. Self-study
Students may study independently using the curriculum, educational resources, and guidance provided by EBA.
2. Regular classes at EBA partner universities and educational centers
Students may enroll in regular classes offered by universities and educational centers that collaborate with EBA.
Please note that whether partner universities or educational centers charge tuition or other fees is determined by the respective institution. EBA has no role in setting or collecting those fees.
The self-study pathway is suitable for students who have strong independent learning skills, good time-management abilities, and the discipline to follow their studies regularly.
Students who require structured instruction and closer academic support may choose to attend classes at EBA partner centers.
