01

Acceptance and scope

By accessing or using an EBA website, form, account, learning resource, examination service or installed web application, you agree to these terms and any service-specific instructions presented to you. If you do not agree, do not use the affected service. Additional written agreements with schools, partners, donors or examination bodies may apply and will prevail for the subject they specifically cover.

02

Eligibility, accounts and accurate information

Users must provide accurate, current and complete information and promptly correct material changes. Account credentials are personal and must be protected from unauthorised use. A parent, guardian, school or responsible organisation may need to act for a minor or learner who cannot legally consent. EBA may request reasonable evidence of identity, authority, eligibility or enrolment.

03

Acceptable use

Users must not submit unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, deceptive or harmful content; impersonate another person; interfere with security or availability; introduce malware; scrape or harvest data without permission; attempt unauthorised access; misuse personal information; or use EBA services to exploit, threaten or endanger learners or staff. Security concerns should be reported responsibly and not publicly disclosed before EBA has a reasonable opportunity to respond.

04

Educational services and learner responsibilities

Programs, schedules, curricula, eligibility criteria and available support may change according to capacity, accreditation requirements, safety, funding or partner arrangements. Learners are responsible for participation, honest work, timely communication and compliance with safeguarding and academic rules. Educational information is not a promise of admission, certification, employment, immigration status or recognition by every institution.

05

Examinations and academic integrity

Examination candidates must follow identity, supervision, payment, scheduling and integrity requirements. Cheating, impersonation, unauthorised assistance, sharing protected exam material, falsifying documents or interfering with exam systems may result in cancellation, disqualification, suspension, reporting to an authorised body or other proportionate action. Reasonable review and appeal routes will be provided where applicable.

06

Payments, donations and refunds

Any applicable fee, currency, payment method and refund condition should be shown before payment or confirmed in writing. Users are responsible for accurate payment references and lawful ownership or authority to use the payment method. Donations are voluntary unless expressly stated otherwise and may be allocated according to the stated appeal and organisational needs. Mandatory consumer or donor rights are not excluded.

Third-party services and links

EBA may link to or rely on independent platforms, payment services, communications tools, accreditation bodies or partner websites. Their availability, content and privacy practices are controlled by those providers and may be governed by separate terms. A link or integration does not by itself mean EBA endorses every statement, product or practice of the third party.

08

Suspension and termination

EBA may restrict, suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve examination or system integrity, investigate misuse, comply with law, address non-payment or manage discontinued services. Where appropriate, notice and an opportunity to respond will be provided. Provisions concerning confidentiality, intellectual property, liability, records and dispute resolution may continue after access ends.

09

Availability, disclaimers and liability

EBA aims to provide reliable and accurate services but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free content or compatibility with every device and network. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. To the extent permitted by law, indirect or unforeseeable losses are excluded and responsibility is limited to losses reasonably caused by EBA's breach.

Changes, interpretation and contact

These terms may be updated to reflect changes in services, risk, technology or law. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel. If translated versions differ, the version identified by EBA as controlling for the relevant agreement will apply, subject to mandatory law. Questions or disputes should first be submitted through EBA's contact or complaint process so they can be reviewed fairly and promptly.
