Dr Shakardokht Jafari

Dr Shakardokht Jafari is a medical physicist, entrepreneur, and advocate for science and education. A former refugee from Afghanistan, she earned her PhD from the University of Surrey and founded Trueinvivo Ltd, pioneering a novel radiation measurement technology now used to improve cancer treatment. Her work has earned her international recognition as an award-winning scientist. As Chairperson of Education Bridge for Afghanistan (EBA), she is committed to empowering Afghanistani girls through education and STEM. Her life’s work bridges innovation, equity, and opportunity, showing young people, especially girls, what’s possible through knowledge and resilience.
